Biographical sketch
BLANCHE LINDSAY GAUSS was born on October 18, 1870 in St. Charles, Missouri to Charles Henry Gauss and Lizzie Johns. She lived in Sedalia (1877-82), St. Charles (1870-72, 1882-85), San Antonio (1885-95), and finally St. Louis. During 1883 she completed prep school at Lindenwood College in St. Charles. In 1900 Blanche was living with her parents and siblings at her grandmother’s home (Henrietta Fawcett Gauss) in Columbia Township, Boone County, Missouri (Census #137). Blanche L. Gauss died on February 26, 1950 in Miami, Florida.
